How TaxWave Began
TaxWave was founded in 2023 by a group of tax professionals who had spent years working inside large accounting firms and IRS representation practices. What they saw troubled them: clients with legitimate financial hardship being underserved, overcharged, or handed off to salespeople who didn't understand the tax code.
The gap was clear. People facing real IRS problems — levies, garnishments, mounting penalties — were being processed by firms more focused on closing the sale than solving the case. Our founders walked away from those environments to build something different: a firm where every case is handled by a licensed professional, every fee is justified, and every client knows exactly where things stand.
